on

For the sixth straight year, there’s a fungus among us! GrowFood Carolina will host their annual Mushroom Gathering at their Morrison Drive headquarters on Friday, October 18th from 6 pm until 9 pm.

Local chefs will serve up mushroom-focused dishes and local brews during the event. Guests can listen to local farmers and foragers sharing their stories and experiences while sipping on some mushroom-infused Cannonborough craft soda. Live music and Artist & Craftsman will also be on site.

The following are expected to participate:

  • Tradd Cotter, a local professional mycologists and microbiologist will be in attendance, interacting and conversing with guests about all things fungi and food
  • Tres Jackson and Christian Hunter – Sorghum & Salt
  • Bob Cook – Edmund’s Oast
  • James London – Chubby Fish
  • Analisa LaPietra and Greg Garrison – Prohibition
  • and more to be announced

That same day, you can attend a lecture featuring Cotter at the Culinary Institute of Charleston by Cotter at 4:30pm. You can learn more here.

GrowFood Carolina requests that all attendees park in the lots across the street from their 990 Morrison address. There will be a uniformed officer to guide you across the street.

Tickets for the gathering may be purchased here.
