Circa 1886 Hosting “For the Love of Chocolate Dinner” in November
On Thursday, November 7th, Circa 1886 will host Dinner by Chocolate, a four-course dinner prepared by Chef Marc Collins, a 2019 South Carolina Chef Ambassador.
The restaurant says each course “offers a harmonious marriage of decadent flavors you’ll never forget.” The menu for the evening is as follows:
- Hors d’oeuvre Reception
- First Course
- COCOA DUSTED FOIE GRAS & PUMPKIN CUSTARD: Spiced Pumpkin Seeds, Blood Orange Raisin Chutney
- Second Course
- COCOA BUTTER SEARED SCALLOPS: White Chocolate n’ Sage infused Grits, Toasted Hazelnut Vinaigrette, Shaved Romanesco, Pomegranate Seeds
- Third Course
- PIEDMONTESE SHORT RIB: Braised in Crème de Cacao and Espresso, Lemon Sour Cream Whipped Potatoes, Grilled Brussels Sprouts, Sour Cherry Gastrique
- Sweet Finish
- BETWEEN THE SHEETS: Callebaut Ruby Couverture, Raspberry Cream Cake, Tahitian Vanilla Mascarpone, Hibiscus Coconut Sorbet
The dinner is $85 per person, excluding tax and gratuity and additional beverages. You must call 843-853-7828 to make your reservation – there is limited availability.
