Berkeley County Encourages Evacuations along French Quarter Creek
Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Cainhoy firefighters are going door-to-door along French Quarter Creek in Huger this morning to encourage residents to evacuate now.
Because of the anticipated storm surge and eminent rainfall associated with Hurricane Dorian, residents along French Quarter Creek will likely experience extreme flooding.
Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis is stressing the importance of French Quarter Creek residents evacuating now, so emergency responders are not put in harm’s way in the future trying to rescue residents from their homes in extreme storm conditions.
