Lowcountry Youth Services Hosts Event to Help Parents Talk to Kids About Sex Effectively

Lowcountry Youth Services, a community based, youth development organization, will be hosting its first “Let’s Talk About It” Party. This event is geared toward helping parents learn how to effectively speak to their children about sex, reproductive health, and social media.
This in one of three community events that Lowcountry Youth Services will be hosting which are a part of their partnership with the Fact Forward and Not Right Now SC organizations. The events are designed to increase the communities ability to prevent teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and deal with dating violence in teens.
There will be speakers, interactive presentations, food, music and much more. The keynote speaker is Dr. Zakevia Lewis-Kendrick. The event will begin at noon on October 19th, 2019 at Fishburne Education Center, 6215 Murray Ave, Hanahan, SC. Doors will open at 11:30 am. Tickets for this event can be acquired via Eventbrite. Admission is free, and the community is invited to attend!
