On January 26, 2020, the Charleston Restaurant Foundation (CRF) invites guests to head to Boone Hall Plantation for the world’s largest oyster festival- the 37th Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival presented by Red Clay Hot Sauce. Tickets are now available for purchase online at www.lowcountryoysterfestival.com.

Featuring over 60,000 pounds of oysters, highlights of this beloved event includes the legendary “Oyster Shucking” and “Oyster Eating” contests, live music on the main stage, wine and local beer, a variety of food options from local restaurants and food trucks, and products available for purchase from Red Clay Hot Sauce.

Kids will also love the elevated Pluff-a-Pallooza Children’s Area, offering activities such as jump castles, cookie decorating, a “Sweetgrass Palace,” photo booth, juggling, climbing wall, spin art and more. This year, local chefs will partner with several local oyster farms to present guests with their favorite version of the beloved oyster, in an all new Locals Tent.

The Lowcountry Oyster Festival will take place from 10 am to 5 pm. General admission is $17.50 in advance online and $25 the day of the event. Children ten and under are free with a paying adult. VIP tickets are $130 through December 31st and $160 starting January 1st, which include admission to the VIP tent for unlimited local oysters, food and beverages. There is no charge for general parking. Tickets can be purchased here.

The festival is a rain or shine event. No pets, coolers or outside food and beverages will be allowed. Oyster knives and gloves will be available for purchase.

Boone Hall Plantation is located at 1235 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant. There are two entrances into the event: the main Boone Hall entrance off Long Point Road and the entrance off Highway 17.

The Lowcountry Oyster Festival is a charity fundraiser.
