Saturday’s Ballpark Festival of Beers Canceled
The RiverDogs’ annual Ballpark Festival of Beers has been canceled for Saturday, October 19’s already rescheduled date. The event has been canceled in light of recent weather forecasts, which project a significant chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the day.
Saturday’s event at Joe Riley Park, already rescheduled from a previous date, will not be made up.
All previously purchased tickets obtained through riverdogs.com will be automatically refunded within 7-10 business days. Tickets purchased at any local area Kickin’ Chicken locations must be reimbursed in-person at the Riley Park box office starting on Monday, October 21st at 10 am. The box office will remain open the rest of the week from 10 am to 4 pm.
Following the cancellation of Saturday’s festival, the club will host the Howl-oween Movie Night next Friday, October 25th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Admission is $5 for the event or free with a donation to the Ronald McDonald House.
The RiverDogs also look ahead to Saturday, November 9’s Shrimp & Grits Festival at the ballpark. Tickets are $20 in advance and available now on rileyparkevents.com. The price of admission ($25 the day of the event) includes a shrimp ‘n grits sampling from some of Charleston’s best restaurants, access to a cash bar, kids’ zone, a vendor village, and live music from 12 pm to 3 pm.
With the 2019 season in the books, the RiverDogs look ahead toward 2020 Opening Day on Thursday, April 9th at Riley Park.
