Miyabi Japanese Steakhouse Reopening as Hachiya Kyoto
Local Japanese steakhouse Miyabi will soon be reopening under the name Hachiya Kyoto Steakhouse. The restaurant will be closed for minor renovations from Monday, November 11th to Thursday the 14th, opening under the new moniker on Friday, November 15th.
In celebration of their grand re-opening, Hachiya will start offering a “Petite Early Bird” special for two with options including a Shrimp and Teriyaki Chicken Combo ($26.85), Ribeye and Teriyaki Chicken ($28.50), and Ribeye and Shrimp ($29.85). This special will be offered Monday through Friday from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, along with Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 5:30 pm.
The restaurant was established in Charleston back in 1979, originally under the name of Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse. The sushi bar at the family-owned restaurant is today run by Kyoto trained Head Sushi Chef Yuichiro “Junior” Takebata, who orders almost all of his ingredients from purveyors that source directly from the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Japan.
Hachiya Kyoto Steakhouse will be open from Monday through Thursday from 5 pm to 9:30 pm, Friday from 5 pm to 10 pm, Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm, and Sunday from 4 pm to 9 pm. Hachiya is located at 688 Citadel Haven Drive in Charleston.
