Save the Light’s Oyster Roast Scheduled for Sunday

Save the Light, a non-profit organization that was formed to save the Morris Island Lighthouse from being lost to the sea, will host an Oyster Roast on Bowens Island this Sunday beginning at 2 pm.

The event features:

• All-you-can-eat local oysters
• Chili from 82 Queen
• Hot Dogs and trimmings from Swig and Swine
• Chicken Bog and Desserts
• Wine from Southern Wine
• Beer from Southern Eagle Distributors
• Soft Drinks and Water
• Live music in the Creek House (enclosed) from the Shakin’ Martinis
• Raffles
• Merchandise sales

Tickets (all-inclusive) are $45 if purchased in advance or $50 at the gate. 100% of the proceeds are used to support restoration and preservation of the Morris Island Lighthouse.
