Jalisco Taqueria & Tequila Hosts Grand Opening Party on February 23rd

Jalisco Taqueria & Tequila will host their Grand Opening Party on Sunday, February 23rd from 1 pm to 5 pm on James Island. Held inside the restaurant and on the outdoor patio, the event will feature $3 tacos, $5 select margaritas, a live DJ, a jump castle for the kids. and more. This family-friendly event is open to the public – and dogs! The Charleston Animal Society will be on site with adoptable animals.

“My time spent in Arizona gave me a deep appreciation for Mexican cuisine,” Jonathan Kish, CEO of Queen Street Hospitality Group (the business that owns Jalisco), said. “There is so much more to this type of cuisine, and Charlestonians need to experience the depth of flavors and the rich history of Mexican Cuisine. We look forward to serving James Island, my long-time home and birthplace.”

Jalisco Taqueria & Tequila opened in December 2019, and just recently rolled out weekly specials and a new happy hour menu:

Margarita Monday – $5 Classic, Jalapeño, and Habañero margaritas all day
Taco Tuesday – 3 for $10 tacos including Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Camarones
Oaxacan Wednesday – $9 Cheese Enchilada and Cilantro Rice entrée, plus 1/2 off Kids Meals all day
The new Happy Hour menu, available Monday-Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm, includes $2 off margaritas, $2 off tequilas and mezcals, $1 off draft beers, $4 house liquor, $3 mimosas, $19 ‘Mystery Bucket of Beer,’ and different appetizer specials every week
