Press Release

Pet Helpers is seeking the public’s help in finding Honey, a 2-year-old Hound Mix, who was last seen in the area of Sanctum Lane in Summerville. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information or assistance that will lead to her being found and caught safely.

Sightings can be reported directly to Melissa Susko, Executive Director, at (843) 542-6292. Please DO NOT CHASE. Honey is friendly, but shy and scared. She was last seen wearing a pink collar, and dragging a pink leash. Honey escaped the care of her foster, and Pet Helpers currently has staff and volunteers searching the area.

Pet Helpers leadership and animal care staff acted immediately upon learning of her escape. Staff members were searching the Summerville area near Ancrum Road and Old Orangeburg Road as early as 6:30 am Friday morning. A post on the “Lost and Found Pets of Summerville” Facebook page provided tips on her location, and eventually led staff to the Sanctum Lane area.
