Charleston AMA Spark! Awards Submissions Extended to March 2nd

Submissions for the Charleston American Marketing Association (AMA) Spark! Awards have been extended until midnight on Monday, March 2nd. The Spark! Awards is Charleston’s premier annual marketing awards event that recognizes the outstanding creative achievements of Charleston area marketers. Anyone in the Charleston Tri-County area can submit their work including agencies, businesses, nonprofit organizations, events, individuals and more.

The 2020 Spark! Awards features 21 categories in content marketing, branding, social media, influencer marketing, logo design, collateral, photography and video, traditional and digital advertising and much more.

In addition to showcasing project and campaign work, the Spark! Awards is accepting nominations for individuals that have gone above and beyond to serve and inspire their fellow marketing community and community at large.

• The Giving Award recognizes the work of any individual or company based in the tri-county area that has donated a marketing service to a nonprofit organization.
• Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a volunteer of the Charleston chapter of the AMA who has gone above and beyond in their role of volunteer to contribute to the chapter’s success.
• Marketer of the Year Award is Charleston’s Most Prestigious Marketing Award. This award honors a marketer currently working in the greater Charleston area who enhances the marketing industry in Charleston.

“Our Charleston marketing community is overflowing with incredibly inspiring creative work, and the Spark Awards is the time of year to showcase it,” said Katie Biondo, current president of the Charleston AMA Chapter.

Category finalists and award winners will be recognized at the annual event on Thursday, May 7 at Harborside East in Mount Pleasant. This year’s event will be lit up in the age of disco, and will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and a touch of Saturday Night Fever.
