Spoleto Offering Discounted Tickets for Charleston Residents This Weekend
Spoleto Festival USA will again offer savings of 40% on a wide selection of 2020 Festival performances during its Locals Weekend event, taking place Saturday, March 7th through Sunday, March 8th.
The list of specially priced performances encompasses more than 40 in-demand Festival events, including select showings of the world premiere of Omar—Spoleto’s landmark opera and contribution to Charleston’s 350th anniversary celebrations—the musical Romantics Anonymous; Scottish Ballet’s production of The Crucible; Get Out in Concert, a screening of Jordan Peele’s Academy Award winning film with live orchestral accompaniment; and The War and Treaty at the College of Charleston Cistern Yard. The full list of included performances for Locals Weekend can be found here.
How it works: Charleston-area residents on the Festival’s mailing list will be sent a promotional code via email to use online at spoletousa.org from 8 am on March 7th to 11:59 pm on March 8th. Residents not on the Festival’s list can create a new account at this link. Specially priced tickets can also be purchased in person (no code required) at the Spoleto Festival USA offices located at 14 George Street, on Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
On Sunday, March 8th, as part of Second Sunday on King Street, the public is invited to visit the Festival’s information table (on the corner of King and George streets) from 1 pm to 5 pm. Second Sunday visitors will receive a promotional code to use online that day, or they can walk a short distance to the Festival offices to purchase tickets in person until 5 pm.
Locals Weekend savings cannot be applied to purchases made over the phone; discounts are not valid on prior purchases or for limited-view seating, and they cannot be combined with other discounts.
