Skull Creek Boathouse Unveils Outdoor Event Venue on Hilton Head Island
UPDATE: 3/9/20 – The grand opening celebration for Skull Creek Boathouse’s new outdoor venue, The Sunset Landing
Pavilion, has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Press Release
A Lowcountry-style celebration is scheduled for the unveiling of Skull Creek Boathouse’s new outdoor event venue, The Sunset Landing Pavilion, adjacent to the waterfront restaurant off Squire Pope Road on Hilton Head Island.
The first party to break in the unique outdoor event venue will be its own.
An oyster roast, pig pickin’, and cash bar are a few of the highlights that guests can expect during the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Hilton Head Island – Bluffton Chamber of Commerce from 4-8 p.m. March 20. Additionally, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will recognize Skull Creek Boathouse for its oyster shell recycling program.
The Southern-inspired extravaganza is open to the public. A pig pickin’ plate is $15 and comes with pulled pork, coleslaw, mac ‘n cheese, and cornbread. Buckets of oysters are $15 each.
“We are extremely excited to host events at our gorgeous Sunset Landing pavilion. The space is ideal for any outdoor occasion,” said Mike Marignoni, Skull Creek Boathouse’s general manager.
The spacious 3,200-square-foot pavilion features covered space that can comfortably entertain 120 seated guests. The quintessential Lowcountry setting combines Southern coastal charm with modern amenities — including an inviting fireplace, waterfront bar and state-of-the-art audiovisual for presentations. The venue will be perfect for events of any occasion: corporate dinners, Lowcountry Boil social functions, outdoor wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, family reunions and more.
