Deshawn Mason is a standup comedian and actor based in Charleston. He has performed all over the Southeast including at the Savannah Comedy Festival in January 2017. Mason won 3rd place at the Charleston Comedy Festival Stand Up Competition in 2015. Mason and fellow comedian Jon Antoine began their sketch comedy duo Vernon Moses in 2016 and they continue to write and perform their sketches for the greater Charleston area. Mason was cast as the leading role in Talk Radio at Flowertown Players in 2016 and is now a cast member of the Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre.
Ratio Girls is a local sketch comedy duo that was built on the foundational blocks that make all successful partnerships: friendship, laughter, and a desperate need for perfection in a hysterically imperfect world. Its members and co-creators, Meredith Kidd and Lily Stanton, overcome their obsessive behaviors and existential fears through the therapeutic guidance of comedy. Between the two of them they have performed in comedy improv festivals such as the UCB Del Close Marathon, Pittsburgh Comedy Festival, and Atlanta Improv Festival, and are company members at Theatre 99. They’re enamored with all things ridiculous and dramatic, and they’re grateful to perform in Chucktown Comedy Supreme before the looming apocalypse. What can they say – they’re Tightly Wound and Here to Party.
Nameless Numberhead (the show producer) is Maari Suorsa and Henry Riggs. Their work has been featured on FunnyorDie, TedX, SF Sketchfest, and most recently in a film collaboration with the band Shovels & Rope. The two have performed at various festivals, comedy theatres, and colleges all over the country including SF Sketchfest, NY Sketchfest, Cincinnati Fringe, The iO Theatre (Chicago), The PIT (NYC), Dad’s Garage (Atlanta), Piccolo Fringe, Dallas Comedy Festival, Sacramento Comedy Festival, New South Comedy Festival, and more. Charm City Comedy Project calls Nameless Numberhead “one of the most compelling sketch shows we’ve ever hosted”.
The Real Good News is a soulful, funky, upbeat, collaborative music group based in Charleston. Founder Paul Joliet works with a wide variety of the Lowcountry’s best musicians to create anything from an intimate acoustic solo act, a high-energy 8-piece live band, dance party DJ…or all three!
