South Carolina Is the State with 2020’s 10th Least Medicaid Coverage
WalletHub recently released its study on 2020’s States with the Most & Least Medicaid Coverage and South Carolina ranked as the sate with the 10th least amount of medicaid coverage.
In order to identify which states rely most and least on Medicaid, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 12 metrics, ranging from total Medicaid spending per low-income population to adult care quality and children Medicaid eligibility level.
Medicaid Coverage in South Carolina (1=Most, 25=Avg.):
- 43rd – Total Medicaid Spending Per Low-income Population
- 33rd – Adult Care Quality
- 34th – Children Medicaid Eligibility Level
- 20th – Pregnant Women Medicaid Eligibility Level
