Gibbes Museum Announces New Virtual Services
The Gibbes Museum of Art has rolled out two new ways to interact with the museum during the COVID-19 closure.
Google Street Views
Visitors can now virtually walk the grounds and galleries of the Gibbes Museum of Art via Google Street Views. With the click of a button, you can walk through the halls of the museum and see the exhibitions on display.
Paired with the Gibbes’ mobile app, guests can get the full Gibbes experience by using Google Street Views to navigate through the museum and the Gibbes app to explain each piece in detail. To visit the museum via Google, visit https://bit.ly/2wFDZkB.
Gibbes Museum Store Online
The Gibbes Museum Store is now online. The Museum Store showcases the creativity of regional artists and collaborates with artists on exclusive products only available at the Gibbes. Featured products include jewelry, gifts, art supplies, books, and specialty items – introducing art into everyday life.
Every tax-free purchase directly supports the Gibbes Museum’s mission to enhance lives through art by helping to fund exhibitions and educational programming. The Museum Store will feature a “Work of the Week,” which will feature a piece by an artist showcased at the Gibbes and can be purchased at the Gibbes Museum Store Online.
