Moranz Entertainment Shares Musical Videos, Encourages Donations for Local Performer
Long-time producers and performers Brad and Jennifer Moranz (right) are stepping up to help local musicians and singers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple’s upcoming May show at the Charleston Music Hall has been postponed, and countless other concerts, musical events, and shows have been canceled or pushed back as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. This means many performers who rely on these shows to make a living are struggling.
To help, Brad and Jennifer are releasing weekly musical performances via GoFundMe. Anyone can view the videos and those who can are encouraged to contribute to a fund that will be divided among local, full-time performers. All money raised will be given to those who are entirely dependent on performing for their income.
“Our local musicians and singers – the very people who make our shows so special – are being hit hard,” Brad Moranz said. “We wanted to do something to help while also giving our fans a chance to enjoy some incredible performances from the comfort of their home.”
The first video is a 13-minute clip from a past Moranz Entertainment show, “The Glory of Gershwin.” You can view the videos and contribute to the campaign here.
Long-time Mount Pleasant residents, Brad and Jennifer Moranz have been producing musicals and variety shows at the Charleston Music Hall for more than 20 years, including the Charleston Christmas Special each December. Learn more at www.bradandjennifermoranz.com.
