Bulldog Tours Now Offering Virtual Tours
The following is a statement from Charleston’s Bulldog Tours:
Here at Bulldog Tours, we do what we do because we love Charleston — it’s history, people, places and food inspires us each and every day. It’s why we live to tell the stories of our city and why we donate a portion of every ticket sale to the preservation of the sites we tour to ensure they’re standing long after we’re gone.
Right now, our city and the world at large is facing something unprecedented, so for the time being, we’re suspending all in-person tours. That said, we’re going to do the next best thing. Our staff members are still going to work, though their work looks a little different these days. Every single day until this is over, we’re going to come to you live from Facebook (@BulldogTours) to showcase our city and to tell her stories. Every afternoon at 2 pm, we’ll bring you brief, family-friendly stories from our tour guide’s favorite spots in Charleston. Every Friday and Saturday Night at 8 pm, we’ll bring you our fan-favorite ghost stories meant for those 13 and up. We’ll be answering questions and taking suggestions for where you’d like to go next.
For now, you won’t feel the cobblestones under your feet or breathe in the sweet smells of Spring brought by jasmine and tea olive blooms, but we promise to do our very best to offer you a digital fix until you can. There’s a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, so we hope to bring a little levity to your day, to teach you something new, and to hopefully make you smile. Charleston has seen a lot in her time, and we know she’ll make it through this moment as well.
