Mex 1 Coastal Cantina Launches Auction to Benefit Staff

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is doing a Crew Support Fund where they are auctioning off some unique experiences to raise money for their crew that has been affected by the coronavirus. 100% of the proceeds will go back to Mex 1’s employees to help with living expense, medical bills, family needs, etc.

The following is a statement from the restaurant:

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina opened in 2013 at our original location in West Ashley. We have had a great response and support from the community over the years and have been able to grow to 3 locations. Since then, we have been lucky enough to give back to the community through Spirit Nights, charitable Tequila dinners, gift card donations and other fundraising events. Like many other restaurants, we have been forced to temporarily lay off over 95% of our crew members as we navigate through these unprecedented times.

We have some of the most loyal, hardworking, free-spirited and caring crew in Charleston. They truly believe in giving you the best customer experience possible. This auction is an opportunity to give back to those that have proudly served you over the years. We have put together some one of a kind experiences that you can bid on with 100% of the proceeds going directly to our crew to assist with living expenses, medical bills and family needs. From an all expenses trip to Mexico to a Tequila Dinner with a few of your closest friends, we hope you find some experiences to bid on so we can give back to our crew members that have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
