Gibbes Museum of Art Announces Next Round of Illustrator Chats
The Gibbes Museum of Art has announced their next round of virtual programming to continue to provide entertaining and educational activities during the COVID-19 closure. The museum will host their new series, “Illustrator Chats” on Facebook live every Thursday at 10:30 am.
Illustrator Chats is a virtual series where viewers can meet working illustrators, see their studios, and learn about their artistic process. Here’s the upcoming schedule:
- Thursday, April 16th
- Charleston based illustrator Timothy Banks reading A Valentine for Frankenstein, followed by a conversation on how he developed the monsters for the story.
- Thursday, April 23rd
- New York City based illustrator Clare Pernice reading Circus, a book she wrote and illustrated
- Thursday, April 30th
- Erin Banks reading First, followed by a talk about how she developed some of the animals and scenes illustrated
