Feed the Fight is Accepting Donations to Provide Meals for Local Medical Professionals
As the COVID-19 crisis rages on, medical professionals continue to work long, grueling hours while putting themselves at risk to save lives. Meanwhile, the crippled local restaurant industry has been sustaining a catastrophic impact during what would normally be the beginning of a very busy season. Feed the Fight is an organization that was founded to deliver warm meals to healthcare workers provided by local restaurants through community donations.
Feed the Fight is accepting donations through the Feed the Fight Go Fund Me page. The funds raised will be used to order meals from local restaurants that will be delivered to area healthcare centers and emergency services facilities. With residents looking for ways to show their gratitude and support for our healthcare professionals, this community outreach program is an easy way to help from home.
People can donate any comfortable amount and each day, organizers will deliver fresh meals to doctors, nurses, ambulance personnel, emergency medical technicians, police, firefighters, and other medical professionals. Ten dollars can buy a couple of delicious meals for those who are on the front lines fighting the virus and putting themselves in harm’s way in order to save lives. The number of meals delivered daily will be dictated by the amount raised.
