Dockery’s Launches COVID-19 Relief Fund
Dockery’s today announced the launch of the Dockery’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, a support effort that will fund local groups dedicated to assisting families suffering from joblessness and hunger during the current pandemic. The first beneficiary of the fund will be East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO). They will receive a portion of every takeout and delivery sale at Dockery’s today through Mother’s Day, including Dockery’s Mother’s Day brunch specials.
“Since March, Dockery’s has donated well over 500 meals to families in need,” general manager Chuck Isenberg said. “Our team at Dockery’s and many of our customers have asked if we can do more. Everyone really wants to build on this tremendous community generosity. There are a lot of families in need right now and without work. We want to make sure that everyone feels a sense of community support.”
ECCO, led by Stephanie Kelley, exists to provide safety net services to low income neighbors, while empowering them to create a better future for themselves, their families, and our communities.
“Funding from Dockery’s has been earmarked for our Basic Needs program,” Kelley said. “Dollars given will work in direct support of local families in need, providing fresh food and clothing to those hit by the coronavirus crisis.”
If you are involved with another local agency or support group that could benefit from funding from the Dockery’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, or if you are interested in supporting the Dockery’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, email giving@dockerysdi.com.
Mother’s Day brunch ordering, as well as daily takeout and delivery options, including house-made beer and wide selection of wines, can be found at DockerysDI.com/takeout.
