Nexsen Pruet & Barberitos Feed Bon Secours Health Care Workers
Press Release
The Nexsen Pruet law firm and Barberitos, a Southwestern Grille, are partnering to support medical professionals on the front lines fighting the COVID-19 outbreak by delivering 50 farm-fresh meals to St. Francis Downtown Hospital in Greenville. Nexsen Pruet sponsored the cost of the meals provided to the hospital.
“Honoring our health care workers is the least we can do for their sacrificial service,” said Jim Warren, the Greenville office managing partner at Nexsen Pruet. “Every day thousands of South Carolina health care workers serve others in the fight against COVID-19 and while putting their own lives at risk. We hope other companies will join us and Barberitos in honoring their service.”
Barberitos, a fast-casual restaurant located at 27 S Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville created lunch boxes including a burrito, tortilla chips, handmade salsa and a cookie. The date of May 5, 2020 was selected because Tuesdays have become known as #GreatAmericanTakeout, a social media movement that supports the restaurant industry, and as a way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
“Now, more than ever, we need to rally and support each other in the Greenville community and are grateful to Nexsen Pruet,” said Allan Robins, owner of the Pleasantburg Drive Barberitos. “We are in this together and are so thankful for our amazing local medical personnel who are truly heroes right now and are giving so much of their time, energy and efforts to take care of those who have been affected by COVID-19.”
As one of the leading law firms in the Southeast, Nexsen Pruet provides a broad range of legal services to the business community and has offices in both North and South Carolina. The law firm is deploying meals of gratitude in other cities as well.
Additionally, Barberitos is accepting online monetary donations to help feed area healthcare professionals and will then match those donations to provide twice as much food to the community heroes. Guests can make a donation at www.Barberitos.com to quickly and easily help feed community heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
