Bacchus & Books Opens New Online Wine Store With Free Local Delivery

Bacchus & Books, a new wine school and soon-to-open shop off of East Bay Street, is giving locals the chance to enjoy a well-curated wine list in the comfort of their homes. The new online wine store features special offerings hand selected by owner Thomas George, a WSET educator and passionate oenophile.

Starting as low as $10.99 a bottle, wine is carefully selected from an array of possibilities. Shoppers browsing the site at https://www.bacchusandbooks.com/wineshop/ will find detailed tasting notes and food pairing suggestions.

A “Quarantine Relief Package” delivery program features free delivery with any purchase of six bottles or more. Delivery is available to addresses in downtown Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Daniel Island, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, West Ashley, James Island and Folly Beach area. Customers can expect a speedy delivery service, receiving it within the same day they order.

Future plans include a wine club and online tasting events to help ride out the “new normal.”
