The Skinny Dip, a clothing and retail store, has closed its downtown Charleston location. The brand still has stores in Florida and Massachusetts.

The closure was announced via a sheet of paper posted on the business’s door (right). The Skinny Dip opened its doors on King Street in April 2017, following the May 2016 launch in Nantucket, MA. The store featured both established and emerging brands, as well as a dedicated area for local Charleston makers.

The business may have been best known for its second floor, which included an outside patio, work space, and a 20-foot coffee and wine bar. The Skinny Dip was one of the first businesses in the area to offer frosé, which became a popular order of many customers.

The sign on The Skinny Dip’s door said customers can still find merchandise and products on theri website – shopthedip.com.

The business was located at 345 King Street.
