Trio of Residents Creates “Love From A Distance” T-Shirt to Benefit People Effected by COVID-19

A trio of local residents have started what they call the Love From a Distance T-shirt Movement that aims to “lovingly observe social distancing during this difficult time.”

Connor Lock (founder of Seven: A Visual Craftsman), Brandon Wogamon (Co-founder of Cannonborough Crafts Sodas), and Brittany Paul (filmmaker) started the program by selling shirts that are printed by Grizzly Wheeler and donating the proceeds to charities that are helping people affected by COVID-19. Last month’s charity was Pay It Forward Charleston, who received a donation of $600 to provide meals to unemployed restaurant workers. This month’s charity is the Trident United Way Covid-19 Response fund.

The creators said they made the shirts “as a way to spread a feeling of love and kindness during the time of social distancing.” They wanted to offer something that people could send to loved ones as a way of saying “I’m thinking about you, I care about you, and I love you, even though I can’t be physically with you right now.”
