The Harbour Club Opens Its Doors at 22 WestEdge
Press Release
For nearly three decades, the Harbour Club has been located in the historic district of downtown Charleston on Prioleau Street. However, last year the new owners, BNG Hospitality decided it was time for a fresh start. On June 15th the Harbour Club opened at 22 WestEdge off Lockwood Boulevard in the $400 million mixed-use development. Located on the entire 7th floor, the Harbour Club at WestEdge offers 360-degree panoramic views of the entire Peninsula through the building’s full height vision glass. An outdoor terrace on the north side of the building provides unmatched views of the Ashley River.
Featuring traditional southern hospitality with a modern Lowcountry twist, the Harbour Club’s new space offers amazing amenities to those wanting a professional setting to conduct business or for members wanting to enjoy the many social opportunities the Club has to offer. Designers and architects selected finishes and furniture for each room that capture the heart and soul of the Lowcountry and Charleston in particular. Details such as French iron gates from Marseille, France, a dip- dyed indigo bar base and artisan-drawn stencils which adorn the floors make the spaces look and feel unique.
A diverse and flexible array of event and conference rooms allow members to host both small meetings and large events, such as weddings and parties; or to simply enjoy dinner and glass of wine with friends. Additionally, co-working areas and meeting rooms with cutting-edge video/audio capabilities offer spaces for members to conduct business from the club.
The Harbour Club at WestEdge also boasts one of the best Chef’s in town. Wes Long has owned, managed and been the Chef at half a dozen restaurants between the southern U.S., Paris and Hong Kong. Now he brings his culinary expertise to the Club where members will enjoy spectacular meals morning, noon and night.
“The Harbour Club has always prided itself on being exclusive yet inclusive and we are thrilled to open this stunning Club to our members,” says Jim Coyne, Co-owner of the Harbour Club. “This project has truly been a labor of love. We have worked very hard to create a place where members will feel comfortable coming every day; we hope they will consider their new Club a home away from home.”
