Glass Onion Hosts 11th Annual Julia Child Dinner on 8/15
The Glass Onion restaurant will celebrate Julia Child’s birthday on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Due to the pandemic and current dining restrictions, they will be altering the format from previous years.
In addition to their regular dinner service, the restaurant will offer three gluten-free courses featuring some of Julia’s favorites: Vichyssoise, Sole Meuniere, and Reine de Saba.
Sole Meuniere was one of Julia’s first meals she had in Paris, and it spurred her passion for cooking French food. In her memoir, My Life in France, she called it, “the most exciting meal of my life.”
The cost will be $35 per person for the full Julia Child menu, and the items may be ordered a la carte to accompany the regular dinner menu. An optional French white wine pairing will be offered for $10 per glass or $30 per bottle. Dining will be first come, first served; however, curbside pick-up is available and should be pre-ordered by August 13th.
