Wine Down Wednesdays Returns on August 19th
The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) last week announced its fall Wine Down Wednesday schedule at Old Towne Creek County Park. Remaining Wine Down Wednesday events will be held Aug. 19, Sept. 2, Sept. 16, Sept. 30 and Oct. 14 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Wine Down Wednesday is a relaxing event where guests can enjoy live music while exploring this unique county park off Old Towne Road in West Ashley. Admission fees also cover wine and a commemorative wine glass. At each event, food truck fare will be on site with items available for purchase. See a music and food truck schedule for each date below.
Admission for Wine Down Wednesday is $15 per person and must be purchased in advance. Pre-registration is required and available until 2 pm the day of the event, or until the event is sold out. On-site registration will not be available. Each event will be capped to promote social distancing.
No tables or chairs will be provided, so bringing chairs and blankets is recommended. Social distancing around the spacious park will be encouraged. Dogs are welcome, but must remain on a leash at all times. If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather, refunds will be provided. Outside alcohol is prohibited.
The Wine Down Wednesday music and food lineup is:
- Aug. 19: music from Chris Sordelet and food from Street Bird
- Sept. 2: music from Mark Jackson and food from Southern Roots Smokehouse
- Sept. 16: music from Wayne Daws and food from Victor’s Lab
- Sept. 30: music from Dave Landeo and food from Area 51 Foods
- Oct. 14: music from John Zackery and food from Sabor Cubarican Cuisine
