New Swing Fore Hope Golf Tournament, a Virtual Charity Event, to Benefit the Lowcountry Hope Center
The Lowcountry Hope Center will host its inaugural Swing Fore Hope charity golf tournament at the Wescott Golf Club in Summerville. This month-long virtual golfing event will benefit the nonprofit’s mission to provide food, clothing, furniture, household goods, financial aid, and community assistance to struggling families in the region.
Unlike standard one-day tournaments with large gatherings, this event will run from October 1st to October 31st, 2020, allowing golfers to play as their schedules allow.
The Swing Fore Hope format will be Captain’s Choice with foursomes competing for top honors and a chance to qualify for a $1 Million Dollar Shootout that caps the tournament. Trophies and other prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event. Golfers will be allowed to choose tee times after registration by contacting the Wescott Golf Club at 843-871-2135.
“This is the best fun anyone can have at a golf tournament,” said Bill Storey, Executive Director of the Lowcountry Hope Center. “Young, old, beginner, or pro everyone gets to swing at the ball, so everyone gets to participate. It’s all for a great cause, and ensures help continues to be available for the growing number of Lowcountry families in need.”
