Report: SC Ranks in 2020’s Top 20 Hardest-Working States in America

WalletHub today released its study on 2020’s Hardest-Working States in America and South Carolina checked in at No. 20 on the list.

In order to determine where Americans work the hardest, WalletHub compared the 50 states across ten key metrics. The data set ranges from average workweek hours to share of workers with multiple jobs to annual volunteer hours per resident.

How Hard Does South Carolina Work? (1=Best, 25=Avg.):

• 16^th – Avg. Workweek Hours
• 24^th – Avg. Commute Time
• 9^th – Employment Rate
• 27^th – Annual Volunteer Hours per Resident
• 30^th – Avg. Leisure Time Spent per Day
