Area’s First Drive-Thru Flu Clinic Launching This Week

This fall, savvy patients can roll down their windows and roll up their sleeves for a dose of prevention.

Sweetgrass Pharmacy in Mount Pleasant is launching the area’s first drive-thru Flu Fighter Clinic, starting Thursdays September 3rd and September 10th from 9 am to 11 am and again from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Owing to ongoing public concerns about COVID19 exposure, the pharmacy is offering patients easy, convenient flu vaccines in the comfort of their own vehicles. Just bring prescription insurance information to the clinic behind the store at 1952 Long Grove Drive, Suite #1, Mount Pleasant, in Seaside Farms (off of the IOP Connector).  The pharmacy is also administering flu shots daily Monday – Saturday, in-store. No appointments necessary.

Consent forms will be available on site. All patients must wear a mask. Vaccine recipients will receive a complimentary hand sanitizer as a “thanks” for driving by. The consent form is also on the website at www.sweetgrasspharmacy.com, and can be completed prior to in-store clinic or drive thru clinic.

Center for Disease Control experts recommend an annual flu vaccine, especially for patients 65 and older; those patients are reminded to bring their Medicare cards.
