New Marine Canvas and Cushion Shop Opens on Johns Island

On August 1, 2020, resident James Beaulieu opened Bree’s Canvasworks, his own custom marine canvas and cushion shop, on Johns Island. The store offers a wide variety of custom fabricated canvas projects, from replacement cushions to covers and enclosures.

Beaulieu is a long-time sailor, who grew up with a variety of sailboats on Lake Champlain in Vermont, from a 19-foot Corinthian to the Pearson 424 on which he and his wife now live full time on Johns Island. Previously, he worked for Coastal Cushion and Canvas in Mt. Pleasant.
