677 King Street Office Building Gets a Topping Out Party
Trident Construction, key subcontractors, and architects along with Atlantic South Development gathered this week for a Topping Out Party at 677 King Street. After everyone signed the final steel beam, two workers placed it atop the completed frame of the five-story building.
The 84,000 square foot structure is a part of a $30 million project and will feature four retail spaces on the first floor and office spaces above that. Parking will be on the ground floor and also around the building.
The entire two blocks between Coming and King Street, including several Charleston single houses, is also going to be developed. Most of the houses will be renovated creating new office space however, some will be moved to an open lot nearby and converted into workforce housing. The roads around the building will also be redone.
The project is scheduled to be complete by the summer of 2021.
