Geoff Nuttall and Spoleto to be Featured on PBS’s “Great Performances: Now Hear This”
Spoleto Festival USA’s Director of Chamber Music Geoff Nuttall is featured in the season two premiere of PBS’s Great Performances: Now Hear This. In the episode, “Haydn: King of Strings,” Nuttall travels with the show’s host to locations in Austria and Hungary, as well as London and Charleston, to reveal the composer’s creative process behind his famous “Emperor Quartet.”
The episode also features the St. Lawrence String Quartet in performance at the Dock Street Theatre during the 2019 Festival. The ensemble also plays on location in Charleston at Ashley Hall preparatory school and at the Miles Brewton House.
You can catch the show on Friday, September 18th at 9 pm on SCETV. It will also be available for on-demand viewing for four weeks following the premiere
