September is Library Card-Sign Up Month
September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and Holy City Sinner encourages you to pick-up your library card today!
Library Card Sign-up Month creates exposure for libraries and all of the work they do to support literacy, community engagement, educational success, and more.
To get your library card, follow these links:
- Berkeley County Library System: berkeleylibrarysc.org/member
- “There is no minimum age requirement for getting a library card. You will need proof of identity and proof of residency. Your library card is free if you are a:
- Berkeley County resident.
- Berkeley County school teacher (Private, Public, or Home School Teachers. You do not have to live in Berkeley County).
- Berkeley County property or business owner.
- U.S. military member or dependent (active or retired).
- Active college student with proper school ID.”
- BCLS also offers temporary membership and internet only membership

- “Library cards are free to Charleston County residents, business owners, property owners, students, members of the military, teachers of accredited K-12 grade schools and employees of Charleston County. All others need to qualify and apply for an Out of County library card in person at one of our branches and pay the yearly fee.”

- “Library cards are free for Dorchester County residents, Dorchester County property owners, Dorchester District 2 & 4 teachers and students, and Berkeley County residents (through a reciprocal borrowing agreement).”
