Press Release

Brookgreen Gardens will host their annual fall festival, Harvest Home Weekend, on October 3rd and 4th, 2020. This family-friendly event held in Brookgreen’s botanical gardens features a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting station,  and other festive activities in their large outdoor spaces.

Visitors are also invited to get creative and participate in the over-the-top scarecrow building contest. Families can use individually prepared kits or bring their own clothing to use.

“We are excited for our visitors to safely enjoy fall-themed activities at Harvest Home Weekend this year,” Page Kiniry, President and CEO of Brookgreen Gardens, said. “This Lowcountry tradition is the perfect opportunity for families to explore Brookgreen Gardens, take in the changing colors and welcome the Fall season.”

During the festival, visitors are invited to explore the entirety of Brookgreen’s grounds. Access to the festival is included in standard admission prices, while the pumpkin painting and scarecrow activities are separate fees. Purchase tickets in advance online by visiting this website.

Due to COVID-19, Brookgreen Gardens has enacted safety protocols to ensure the safety of all visitors. All guests are asked to observe social distancing guidelines and wear a mask or comparable face covering to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In compliance with Georgetown County Emergency Ordinance 20-33, masks should always be used in any interior spaces, including public restrooms.
