on

On Thursday, October 20th, the South Carolina Aquarium will host “Creatures of the Night: Bats in the Carolinas,” part of their Holland Lifelong Learning adult education series.

Why should we thank bats for tequila? Are bats to blame for COVID-19? Join the Aqaurium as they answer these questions and many more. Guests will also learn why we should care about this insect-eating mammal with South Carolina Department of Natural Resources biologist Jennifer Kindel.

Holland Lifelong Learning is pledging to be plastic-free and COVID-19 conscious, so please note the following:

  • Doors open at 5:30 pm for the 6 pm event
  • All on-site events are limited to 60 guests
  • Chairs will be spaced six feet apart
  • No refreshments will be served this season
  • Please wear a mask and respect social distancing
  • Bring your own reusable water bottle

If you are unable to attend, you can watch the livestream free of charge here.
