Poe’s Tavern Releases New Wine List, Will Host Tasting on October 22nd
A favorite burger joint amongst locals and tourists nationwide, Poe’s Tavern is expanding its menu with a new wine list.
A tasting will be held at the Tavern on Thursday, October 22nd from 6 pm to 8 pm to celebrate the release of the new wines. In partnership with Breakthru Beverage, wine distributors and suppliers will be on site providing samples and sharing information on each wine.
During the last week of October, Poe’s Tavern will donate 50% of all wine sales to local non-profit, Share Our Suzy Lowcountry, whose mission is to raise money and resources to assist and support breast cancer patients in the Lowcountry from diagnosis to remission. Poe’s Tavern opened on Sullivan’s Island in 2003 with a primary focus on gourmet burgers and craft beer and a nod to the Island’s history and one-time resident, the author Edgar Allan Poe. The popular tavern has since expanded with locations in Atlantic Beach, FL and Wrightsville Beach, NC with a fourth location coming soon to Savannah, GA.
