Dorchester County In-Person Absentee Voting Locations & Information

Dorchester County voters can vote in-person absentee at three area locations ahead of the General Election on November 3, 2020. Get all the details below.

St. George

Residents can vote in-person absentee from Monday, October 5th through Monday, November 2nd at the Dorchester County Clemson Extension Office located at 201 Johnston Street in St. George. Absentee voting will only be available at this location between the hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday – Friday. (Note: Although the physical address is 201 Johnston Street, the office fronts May St.)

In addition to the above, the Dorchester County Voter Registration and Elections Office will also be open for in-person absentee voting on Saturday, October 31st from 9 am to 1 pm for in-person absentee voting.

Summerville 

Residents can vote In-Person Absentee at the Rollins Edwards Community Center located at 301 N. Hickory St. in Summerville, beginning Monday, October 19th through Friday, October 30th, between the hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm.

North Charleston

Residents can vote In-Person Absentee at the Wescott Park Community Center located at 9006 Dorchester Road in North Charleston, beginning Monday, October 19th through- Friday, October 30th between the hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm.

You can also vote by mail.

Voters that wish to vote absentee by mail may request an absentee application:

  • By mailing a request to the Voter Registration Office, 201 Johnston Street, St. George, 29477
  • In-person at the Voter Registration Office, 201 Johnston Street in St. George

The deadline to return the application by mail is Saturday, October 24th. The deadline to return the application in-person is 5 pm on Friday, October 30th. However, voters are advised to request by-mail ballots as soon as possible as there is no guarantee that a ballot mailed on October 30th will be received by the voter and returned to the Election Commission by election day.

All ballots must be received by the Election Commission no later than 7 pm on Election Day.

      Early voting in North Charleston ended on 10/30.

      Unfortunately, that is the only option for today and that’s St. George
