Charleston Artisans Market to Begin Saturday in Marion Square
This weekend, artisans and packaged food vendors will return to Marion Square for the Charleston Artisans Market on King Street Plaza. The market will run Saturday, October 17th, from 8 am to 1 pm, across the park from the Charleston Essentials Market on Tobacco Street, which will feature farmers and growers and take place at the same time.
This week, the market will feature the following local artisans and crafters: Amanda McLenon Fine Art, Barbara’s Sweetgrass Products, By His Design Legacies Tied By Nature, The Charleston Soap Chef, Designs in Clay, Grit & Grace Studio, Jen Cruitt Designs, Kim Hunter Designs, Lauren Shuler Designs, Market Mutts, Palmetto Purse, Rainbow House and River Road Pottery.
Products from packaged food vendors Charleston Artisan Cheesehouse, Charleston Spice Company, Holy Smoke Smoked Olive Oil, Molly & Me Pecans, Olinda Olives & Olive Oil, One Love Kombucha and T & T’s Kettle Korn II will also be available at King Street Plaza.
Along Tobacco Street, the following local farmers will be present: Botany Bay Carolina Sea Salt, Earl Freeman Farms, Robert Fields Farm, Joseph Fields Farm, Oliver Freeman Farm, R & R Acres, Simmons Farm, Spade & Clover Gardens and Tiverton Farms.
Due to the ongoing situation related to COVID-19 in South Carolina, vendors and patrons will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing throughout the events, and to follow all other CDC protocols related to COVID-19.
Sanitation stations and restrooms will be setup throughout the markets, and signage will be displayed to guide customers safely through the market set-ups.
Cyclists visiting the markets are requested to dismount and walk their bicycles, and all patrons are reminded to maintain 6-foot social distancing.
