The Lonon Foundation & The Breast Place Partner for Botox for Breasts Campaign
The Lonon Foundation, a Charleston nonprofit that provides resources to children affected by their parent or caregiver’s cancer, is announcing their partnership with The Breast Place. In this partnership, The Breast Place will help raise funds and awareness for The Lonon Foundation through their Botox for Breasts campaign and other fundraising initiatives.
The Breast Place, located in North Charleston, offers breast services for malignant and benign disease, including genetic testing, breast imaging, survivorship, scar revision, lactation and more. To further support their patients as they “change, age and survive,” The Breast Place also offers a host of wellness and beauty services like hair removal, facial rejuvenation, body contouring, botox and more.
“At The Breast Place, we embrace our patients with the same compassion, education and care, which also reaches into the challenges of a survivor’s wellness journey,” said Rachel Carlson, Director of Aesthetics. The Lonon Foundation is a powerful resource for families affected by cancer, and we are humbled by our partnership.”
For the Botox for Breasts campaign, The Breast Place will donate one dollar for every unit of botox sold to The Lonon Foundation in order to help Lowcountry families face a cancer diagnosis while raising children.
“We decided to launch Botox For Breasts, for the families affected by cancer in our community,” Carlson said. “We see an incredible amount of patients with children, and The Lonon Foundation uplifts families and their children by offering programs that focus on their emotional support, peer relatability, peace, and most importantly, hope; during an incredibly difficult time.”
The Lonon Foundation counts on its community, businesses and individuals alike, to help ensure their services reach all Lowcountry families that need the support. “2020 has been a tough year for everyone; for cancer patients and their families, the isolation and fear has been overwhelming. We are beyond grateful to have the support from The Breast Place so that we can continue to provide services to all our families and reach even more that need our help, financially, emotionally and psychosocially,” said Anna Lonon, Founder and President of the foundation.
“One of our core values at The Breast Place is to provide hope. The Lonon Foundation’s purpose to emotionally support and advocate for children during a family member’s fight with cancer creates a beautiful partnership; giving these children hope to live beyond their challenge,” said Jennifer F. Beatty, DO, FACS.
In addition to the Botox for Breasts campaign, The Lonon Foundation and The Breast Place will hold a joint holiday fundraiser at Kendra Scott on King St., Saturday, Dec. 5.
The Lonon Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to help children affected by their parent or caregiver’s cancer diagnosis find comfort, heal and grow from their shared experiences. The organization started after founder, Anna Lonon, lost her husband, Michael Lonon, to Head and Neck Cancer, leaving Anna to raise her children, Jack and Harper Rose, alone. After seeing the impact this passing had on her son Jack, she knew she needed to find resources to help him learn to cope with the stress and discomfort of having a parent with a cancer diagnosis.
