Martin Luther King, Jr. Pool Grand Reopening Set for Thursday
Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg and members of City Council will participate in the Grand Reopening of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Pool, located at 155 Jackson Street, at 11:15 am on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
The pool’s upgrades, which totaled $3 million, included a new retractable enclosure, so the 50-meter MLK, Jr. Pool can now be enjoyed by residents year-round. The enclosure was added as part of the city’s Phase III Energy Performance Contract with Johnson Controls.
The event will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/CityCharleston.
Attendees are asked to practice safe social distancing during this event
