Taco Boy at Folly Beach Now Open in Former Wiki Wiki Sandbar Space

Karalee Fallert, founder and partner of Taco Boy, today announced that Taco Boy at Folly Beach is now open in the newly renovated location at 106 East Ashley Avenue.

Taco Boy has been serving Mexican fare since opening its original location on Folly Beach in 2006 at 15 Center Street. In late September 2020, ownership announced the restaurant would be trading spaces with sister-restaurant, Wiki Wiki Sandbar and moving to 106 East Ashley Avenue in order to expand and meet the demands for both concepts.

The restaurant has updated its menu to include a frozen drink bar featuring a refreshing Strawberry Hibiscus Frosé and the Mama Coco, a blend of coconut, papaya, tequila, and fresh lime. Taco Boy at Folly Beach will also feature four new specialty cocktails, including the rum-based Yucatan Punch, and the 24 Karat Magic, a tequila cocktail rimmed with a 24-karat gold leaf.

Fans of Wiki Wiki Sandbar’s third story beach views and private dining will enjoy the transformed Tiki Bar into Taco Boy’s Jaguar Bar, a tequila and mezcal lounge, and the redesigned Sunset Room, formerly private dining space, now featuring a kaleidoscope of colorful window panels (see photo above) and traditional Mexican art.

The new Taco Boy at Folly Beach is open Sunday – Thursday, 11 am to 10 pm and Friday – Saturday, 11 am to 11 pm. Reservations are currently available through Resy.com.
