Art Festival to be Held at Tradesman Brewing Co. on December 13th
A trio of local artists have partnered with Tradesman Brewing Co. to host the For the Love of Art Festival from noon to 4 pm on Sunday, December 13th.
Local artists Chad Dyar, Kate Ritchie (Redux Contemporary Art Center), and Julie Glass (Charleston Artist Guild) have teamed with the brewery to bring Charleston a festival featuring artwork, artistic demonstrations, craft beer, and food. Local artist Patch Whisky will also be onsite doing a live demonstration.
The festival will be held outdoors with plenty of space to shop in a socially distanced environment. Masks are required when moving around the venue. The event is free to attend and free parking is located onsite at 1647 King St. Ext.
“It’s been a really uncertain year for many artists,” Dyar said. “Art isn’t only about creating something that’s aesthetically pleasing, it’s about underlying emotions, expression and connecting with something that’s bigger than you – mainly other humans.
As hyper-connected as we all are these days, the internet and virtual events will never replace face-to-face interaction. It’s a great tool but only as a complement to building the type of relationships that can only happen in-person. We’re here to give artists and art appreciators an opportunity to reunite face-to-face, while keeping everyone’s safety as our first priority.”
