We Are Family Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Virtual Fundraiser
In celebration of 25 years of service to the LGBTQI+ community, We Are Family will stream a virtual fundraising event on Friday, December 4th from 7 pm to 8 pm.
Local performer, artist, and drag queen Crystal Guysir will host the event, with special guest appearances by transgender activist and Pose actress Cecilia Gentili and BuzzFeed Executive Producer Mike Rose. The hour-long virtual event will highlight We Are Family’s history of queer service with testimonials from current youth, former youth, parents, and volunteers.
Proceeds will support We Are Family’s vital programs, including the launch of a new mental health assistance program, and further its mission of providing affirming spaces to LGBTQI+ youth through direct support, leadership development, and community engagement.
