Insomnia Cookies Bringing Late Night Treats to Upper King Street
Insomnia Cookies, a popular bakery chain that specializes in delivering warm cookies, is coming to upper King Street in downtown Charleston.
The eatery, which is known for staying open into the early morning hours, was founded in a college dorm room in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania, by then student, Seth Berkowitz. Today, they have more than 100 locations nationwide – most near college campuses.

No official opening date has been announced, but Insomnia Cookies will be found at 509 King Street.
