Priyanka Chopra Jonas will star in the film adaptation of The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, which explores the class system in modern India. The protagonist, the son of a rickshaw driver, Balram Halwai, played by newcomer actor Adarsh Gourav, finds himself at the epicenter of society’s upper-class corruption system.

Director Ramin Bahrani is a close friend of the novel’s author, Aravind Adiga, who in turn dedicated a book published in 2008 to Bahrani. The White Tiger stands a good chance of becoming another Netflix Oscar contender.

Malcolm & Marie

Malcolm & Marie is a project shot in just two weeks in the middle of a quarantine. The film features only two main actors, Zendaya and John David Washington, and was directed by Sam Levinson. Washington plays the director and Zendeya is his girlfriend. The plot is pretty simple. One evening the couple returns home after another movie premiere and begins discussing their exes. If you believe the rumors from the crew, the mood of the picture resembles the famous Marriage Story. Also, Levinson decided to make the entire film in black and white.

If you still miss Smash on NBC, you’re in luck. You might find this new spy movie from screenwriter Theresa Rebeck exciting. Produced by Jessica Chastain and featuring a stellar cast including Fan Bingbing and Lupita Nyong’o, the female-driven thriller is sure to make a splash. The film is scheduled to premiere in January 2021.

Tom and Jerry

The classic animated television series gets a big-screen update in the form of a live-action and animated hybrid in which mischievous mouse Jerry moves into a hotel on the eve of a big wedding and forces the wedding planner to bring Tom into the picture. When an even bigger threat arises, Tom and Jerry are forced to work together to save the day.
