Sisters of Charity Foundation of SC Announces New Board and Committee Members for 2021

Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina announced today the appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees.

The Board also announced the election of Andy Folsom, VP, M&A, Strategic Investments at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, as the incoming Chair for the Board of Trustees.

Gerald Smalls, Chair and Associate Professor of Law and Accounting of the Johnson College of Business and Economics at USC Upstate, and Macon Lovelace, SIOR at Trinity Partners, will join the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina’s Board of Trustees.

“The unique insight and experience these executives bring will support the Foundation’s mission to strategically use resources to reduce poverty through action, advocacy and leadership,” said Sisters of Charity Foundation of SC President, Tom Keith. “The Foundation is fortunate to have a diverse collection of leaders who have deep experience in a variety of backgrounds, but more importantly, they have a heart to serve our state.”

In addition to new board members, Sisters of Charity Foundation of SC welcomed new committee members and officers.

Those selected to serve in 2021 are:

New Committee Members
Tigerron (Tiger) Wells- 1 year term- Policy, Communication and Research Committee
Tracy S. Bailey- 1 year term- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee

New officers:
Andy Folsom- Chair
Mitch Watson- Vice Chair
Gerald Smalls- Treasurer
Brian Murrell- Secretary

By using its own resources and collaborating with others in the philanthropic sector, Sister of Charity’s goal is to reduce poverty through action, advocacy and leadership.
