CCSD Extends Suspension of Athletic Competition through January 17th

Charleston County School District (CCSD) announced today that all winter sports games and competitions would remain suspended through Sunday, January 17th, 2021, as a precaution against the further spread of COVID-19. 

Schools will work to reschedule all region games that have been missed since the pause started before Winter Break. CCSD says varsity teams (for winter sports only) are allowed to continue to practice, using strict safety protocols.

The district says they will continue to review and monitor conditions related to COVID 19 to determine if CCSD student-athletes can resume competition starting  on Monday, January 18th, 2021.
